Subject: What I'm being told is a "price increase due to the cost of precious metals"

So I'm being told that Tiffany & Co., effective June 10, 2011, will have a price increase - to anyone who may know more than I (which is likely eveyone), is this across the board on all products, only those with precious metals, only certain metals (e.g., gold), or something else? Any idea of the % - probably what I"m most concerned with at this time is the "how much."

    TIA.

Most high end watch brands have already raised cost across the board.

    Price too in some cases...

Was in Tiffany with the wife last week and the sales rep said that there was one coming next month. We were looking at silver cufflinks BTW..........

I believe I have used "cost" and "price" correctly in my post Dave.

By "cost" do you mean the wholesale cost paid by the dealers and stores to the manufacturer (or distributor)?

"Price" I assume is the suggested retail price to be paid by the end consumer, true?

Not only that, if you order something and pay for it today and it comes in after the increase, you're gonna pay the difference.
