Anybody in the neighborhood that can offer support? I gave him the number of the flatbed tow company that Norwoods recommended to me, but now I'm guessing he's playing a waiting game.

Somebody take him a beer. His cell is xxxxxxxxxx.

I talked to Manny, and gave him Tillman's number. Maybe they can work something out.

Thanks Jim, and Will, and Manny, and Dave, and James.

My cell phone went nuts, I appreciate all the calls and support.

Got the beastie running again once it cooled off, and it (and I) are back home.

Ferrari people are cool. Thanks again.

Hmm, I might be having the same problem you are. Both of our cars were at Norwoods 2 weeks ago and they were both trying to pass emissions.

Mine is having the old gremlin of a few years back with hot starts. Plenty of power with key first position, but once you go to starter it is like the battery is dead. Just nothing. Checked the battery connections and everything fine.

Does it turn over slowly when the car is hot, but fast, and fires right up when cold? If so, sounds like your starter might be getting cooked. Check your grounds, make sure they have a nice clean contact area. Even a ground strap that looks good can be bad. On the Pantera, we see this a lot. We have a braided (stock) ground off the transmission. It can look good, but if you flex it, you can sometimes see pieces of white dust coming out--corroded ground. If the ground is wrapped in neoprene, it's harder to tell, but cheap to replace. In addition, you might consider a heat shield wrap for the starter. Also cheap.

How’s about that for F Chat Roadside Rescue? I called Tillman 3 times trying to get though, makes me think that the local cell towers were overloaded with F Chatters when I called. Good to hear you made home ok. When you’re in Ft. Worth & need of any help, please let me know.
