Just a quick note... Tim Stanford and his crew are amazing! My Mondial 3.2 was going back to Shelton for her 30K until they quoted me $6500! I was lead to Tim by another owner and what a blessing. He not only was able to do the major, he also found several other issues caused by lack of use. Instead of the bill getting bigger and bigger Tim worked very closely with me and resoved each isssue on a priority basis. After all was said and done it still was a 6k visit..... but three pages of things and an incredible running car later. I shudder when I think what Shelton would have bashed me for. Not only that but he and his crew made me feel like a friend and welcomed me to nose around his amazing shop. This is the way things used to be for REAL lovers of cars.

Agreed, Tim is an amazingly gratious and helpful Ferrari diehard! I was looking at a car at Shelton, and they mentioned that all the records on the car were from Tim's shop. I called him and he happily dug up his records, and reviewed them with me. Probably ate a good 20 minutes out of his busy day, but he did it cheerfully, and like a true enthusiast! This from a total stranger calling from across the country. Thumbs up, and would use him without hesitation. I have heard nothing but great feedback about Tim over the past 5 years.

While I have never used his services, I have heard only good things about him. He has a first class reputation.

i almost used tim for a ppi a while back. i dug around for reputation info on him and got great responses. glad to hear he's all that and a bag of chips. given the plethora of "iffy" dealers in the area down there, it's nice to know there's a really reputable tech to do PPIs!

that said, shelton did a PPI for me on a 355 way back when and they did a fine fine job for me, reasonably priced. they found some serious issues and stopped the work and called me to find out if i wanted to continue (saving me money).

Tim is great, and very generous with his time. I was at the Cavallino Classic one time with my TR and a serious overheating problem. I bumped into Tim to ask him what I should do as I didn't want to be stuck in FL for a couple of days when I needed to be home in SC.

Tim just crawled into the hot engine bay, figured out that my cooling fans weren't running and rigged them to be on all the time so that I could get safely back to SC and get them fixed correctly. The fix worked beautifully, took Tim all of 5 minutes. He certainly didn't have to help that day - many of his own regular customers were at the track and having issues, but he took some time out to help a needy stranger and that kind of service should be rewarded.

Tim took great care of my Daytona for the past owners, and he did a very thorough PPI for me on the car. He's a great guy with tons of experience and is very humble and nice to talk to.

I've been in South Florida for a long time and have never even heard a complaint about Tim.

He is, without a doubt, the best thing going on anything with carbs.

Aside from being very competent, he's a genuinely nice guy and as honest as the day is long- a real gentleman.

Tim did quite a lot of work on my 246gts when I bought it a few years back. His work is unbelievable and, as noted previously, he is a genuinely nice guy. I would sooner ship my car back to him for any major work than have it done anywhere else. I would recommend him without equivocation.
