That really does suck. Luckily it wasn't the headlight. The CS bumper looks really good. Than your going to have to get the sides and the rear diffuser too. The trickle effect begins.

CA bumper sounds great but that is a really light damage; that bumper could easily be fixed.

While it could possibly/probably be fixed, I think the labor involved would offset the cost of a new bumper. I would rather have a new bumper thnt a repaired bumper as the damage and/or paint would at some point show tell tale signs of the incident.

The car had perfect paint (not one chip!) and I want to return it to it's prior glory.

While I'm in this predicament, why not do the CS bumper (and possibly rockers) upgrade as it's not that much more to add.

F Chatter "anxpert" has the add-on pieces to change your bumper (and rockers) to CS spec. I would consider having them added to your bumper and getting it fixed and painted at the same time. Aftermarket bumpers scare me. You can PM him or search for the threads he has in here about these parts.

    Aloha

I think if you get the CS bumper you need the side skirts too

I am, they will/should pay for the cost of a standard bumper and I will have to pay the difference for the upgraded bumper

Doesn't look too bad. I say do it! I like to turn car misfortune into upgrades...CS bumper is hot.

Just wanted to back up Kevin and say that, even the best aftermarket bumpers, will require a solid body shop to massage them into place.

    Good luck!

There is always another part you need when you do this kind of a project.

    The bumper itself.

    The challenge type grills.

The "snout" (The air conduction unit from the grill to the radiator is different)

Maybe a mounting bracket or two.

    I would definitely do it.

    Glad no one was injured.

If you get to retain the damaged bumper that's an easy sale as-is on eBay, you can probably bridge to some of the cost of the upgrade (if it matters to you). That is definitely repairable and someone may want to buy it.
