I don’t understand what’s so amazing with Albon’s drive in Australia. Fact is he had nothing to lose and the Pirelli hard tyre was good for the whole race, even for the others cars.
This I was thinking as well. Its a routine normal gamble in F1 to start on the hardest compound and do very long stint hoping to gain advantage.
I guess that's why it's a big deal, easy theory, hard to put into practice. Of the 3 or so drivers that started on hards, he's the only one that had it work out, due to not only tire usage, but also the luck of the draw in the safety car periods and Stroll being slow
