So I have had the pleasure of owning my mint 458 for approx 1 year. And what year it has been.

    Absolute wonderful and crazy car.

Never gotten so much attention and never experienced such mind blowing handling and acceleration.

Sad to see it go, but I am loosing no money, so really a no brainier.

    Couple of things though

******* battery tender, use it if you do not drive the car regularly... otherwise the dash lights up like a Christmas tree,

It is not the best car for city cruising, but guess that that is not what it was designed for.

However two essential upgrades that the car really should be fitted with as standard IMHO.

First one, SPACERS, just 2cm, just enough that the rims comes out a bit... Never understood this design flaw.. yeayea, car no longer does 330km/h but still I think 315 is ok :)

But the best upgrade I did was the Capeisto bypass with remote.. That completely changed the whole experience of the car, and was worth every penny.. again something that should come as standard. With that fitted there is absolutely no need for any 5000 USD EURO exhaust upgrade. a mere 300 USD and the car sounds like it is calling, Thor GOD of Thunder, out.

Side note, and properly the most fun... You will never guess who bought the car.... A 36 year young good looking woman had called me a couple of times and inquired about the car.. And she bought it.. She showed up alone, and I tired my best to explaining as much as possible regarding the various settings ect ect... hope she is ok :)

Finally, big thanks to this forum. You guys are great...

    Cheers

there are strict oem euro guidelines on minimizing blinding " rooster tail " fans of water sprayed from wheel wells towards following cars in heavy rain , thats why you will never see a tire sidewall set perfectly flush as delivered, from any make ....without std mud flaps !

correct answer, and the same restrictions apply in every automotive market, not just the EU
'no part of the tire may protrude outside of the body surface' for stone throw, etc.

Hehe, yep thought about that (asking her out)

Regarding mudflaps ect, the 2cm spacers does not make the tires/rims go so fare out, still looks pretty standard, however if you buy bigger spaers they surely would intrude, and thus be iligal.

But my audi r8 has no spacers and the wheels are inline with the body of the car...

    All standard... 20" too
