Time to move the 355 to Classic?

  1. Yes, those poseurs need to realize it's an old car now

  2. No, dangit! We're cooler than 328 owners

  3. There's a modern section? I post everything to Ferrari Discussion, such as, "Do you like my hat?"

  4. All those V8s need to go to DINOchat.com anyhow

  5. I just want Allan Lambo back, he's my HERO!!!11!1!!!

The 355 came out in 1994, i look at it today, compare to cars of the time and those of the present and it still strikes me as one of the most cutting edge cars out there. It takes the p*ss out of anything from 1994 and still stands up around the cars of today

Leave it in the modern forum, it'll be a long time until those sultry lines find its way into the classic forum when it still looks that modern

(...laying the groundwork so that when my Mondial Z is finished, with it's faired-in headlights, it can go into the Modern forum....)

Any car with OBD II implanted into it at some point in its production run is a car that I consider modern.

No, the classic section should stay reserved for those with carbs, sideways V8s or 5 fig chassis numbers. ;)

You should be thinking 20-25 yrs for a classic....... this is way too early. Not sure why I have to say it's better then 328, but it's just not classic.

This was just a joke, right?
I assumed the model divisions for the different forums were based on "date of manufacture" rather than "years since manufacture". If the people in Modren are too snobbish to associate with 355 owners, maybe they can become the first cars moved to "neo-classic"! ;)

I am careless which class 355 goes, but the car doesn't look classic yet, like 308/328. In my eyes, 348 doesn't belong there either. I prefer CLASSIC over MODERN for just name sake though.

Vintage - more than 40 years old (for first model year)

Classic - more than 20 years old. (for first model year)

Modern - any cars before hitting 20 years old (for first model year)

I still think it should be split in two groups.

    Pre 1968 - Ferrari
    Post 1968 - Fiat

    Cheers,

Leave it - the 355 is a legend and one of the best [looking] cars ever made, in some cases alot better looking than most things on the road today.....

Bollox to keeping it in Modern, it's the best car Ferrari have ever produced so give it it's own forum. A forum for Manual f355 Berlinettas. Put all those mamby pamby 355 F1, 360 (with enough space for two sets of gold clubs in it) and 430 (help i can't drive a car and need an e-diff to drive it for me (what is e-diff? a new ecstacy pill but different?)) in a forum for modern ferraris with no souls.

    :D

    Amen to that!

Instead of this Classic/Modern BS, how about having a forum for the 8 cylinder cars and a separate forum for the 12 cylinder ones?

355 is 348 on steroids and 3 models old. the 355 and 345 should be grouped together...they even share more similar parts than the 308 to 328...classic
