I bought my '89 Mondial t cab in 2005. It's a great car - sorry that really doesn't sum up a hand built Italian car or do it justice. I did the major last year at a local shop where a local car collector takes care of all his cars. The car has never been Ferrari maintained, but I have all records. The car has had 3 owners and I think we have all done a good job of caring for the car.
But with some recent events, it may be time to look for the next caretaker. I could use the cash to put aside against a rainy day, or, if things get better, put it towards a newer Ferrari. I would not use the money to buy any other type of car.
    Does anyone have any thoughts?

Well I understand what you're saying, I think we may all cross this bridge at some time.

Why don't you start by posting a pic or two so we can all start picking it a part. :)

After we get done with you, you may not want to sell it or have enough info to sell it right.

I had a similar dilema but with different background. I really don't earn what it takes to absorb potential problems and my car had been fantastic and I drove it all over the country. I wanted to sell before something bad happened. I realized that I would end up buying another car, something completely different, and I realized there is nothing for the dollars I would get that I would rather have. That was about 1.5 years ago and I keep driving my car, it's been reliable. I still can't come up with a car in my budget that I'd rather have so mine is likely a keeper.

Tough decision. Good luck. I don't think there is anything wrong with moving on for personal reasons. Many great things in life to pursue.

I will take some pics - yeah, my brother had that problem when he put some amateurish cellphone pics of his pristine '98 993 cab and posted them on Rennlist. You would have thought it was a '72 Beetle from the comments, haha.
I hope I get out of work early enough to pick it up from the garage. I had a few little annoying things taken care of while doing the oil change.
