Got a letter soliciting my business. Is it OK or does it suck like Vonage?

I went ahead and got the phone. I haven't had a single issue with it yet, obviously a case by case thing as I've been hearing mixed reviews on it. Getting the phone actually lowered my monthly cable bill 25 bucks for the cable/phone/net package. So hell, didn't hurt me a bit whether I use it or not.

A friend of mine had one through the cable company in Baton Rouge. It seemed to work like a normal phone but I think there was an issue with 911 not working the same.
