no matter what the conditions were, they wet the roads at night just last night they didnt need the water trucks -- its all part on cinematography .. it makes the roads look black at night in the film otherwise they are to gray

I THINK THEY SHOULD KEEP THE CRASH IN THE MOVIE. HOWEVER, IF THEY WERE DRIVING AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE LAMBO, IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED.THEN AGAIN, I THOUGHT THEY CLOSED OFF ALL THE STREETS IN NYC WHEN THEY ARE FILMING CHASE SCENES. DID SOME PRODUCER WANT TO SAVE A LITTLE MONEY BY NOT HAVING THE NYC POLICE INVOLVED?

The best actor was the guy with the lamp post that somehow ended up between his legs. And it was obvious that they were trying to save money by having a moron drive the car. I cannot imagine this is a big budget film with a major movie star.

I've worked on some TV, movie, and music video sets and I can't imagine how this mistake could ever have happened. Working with Shelley Ward (pros!) for Spike TV show in LA several years back, the crew mapped out EVERY single possible scenario to a tee. Hope the bystanders are okay --

Movie is "Sorcerer's Apprentice" starring Nicholas Cage so I think that shoots down the low budget theory. Doesn't mean that it wasn't a highly-paid moron.

It's been reported that he was a homeless man that took the opportunity to position himself under the pole. If it was legit, he could've had a nice lawsuit... The street itself was blocked off and all the cars you see while the car is weaving through traffic are driven by 'stunt drivers'.
