    These are good suggestions. It's early days in the process -- that's why we are soliciting ideas. I'm sure I'll be catching up with Black355, WHart, and others to coordinate in the coming days/weeks.

    If anybody else has a perspective, or can assist in making this happen, please chime in.

    Agreed, that may be an angle. You can get away with a lot with just the name Ferrari, but I doubt, for example, Letterman would get involved unless there were some goofy or offbeat aspect. May seem too pretentious, otherwise.

    I am thinking of calling either the Hilton or Marriot hotel in Times Square to ask them if they want in on this. Who has a preferance and/or good contacts with 1 of these hotels ? How about Toys R Us ? They have a shop in Times Square now

    Toys 'R us? How about.......

    A shot of the Hot Wheels Ferrari Authorized cars displayed on the road in front of a flock of the real Ferrari right behind them?

    Let's see. Times Sq 100th anniv., Ferrari, Mattel, Toys R Us. Seems like enough sponsorship to me to make it happen. Let's see....poster rights to that shot. Hmmmmmm. Will make some photographer happy.

    oh, I had another thought.
    We could use the reporter for the Daily News who chewed on us for the ROE to do the write-up. Perhaps Letterman would like to interview them? whaddyathink?

    Let's get this going in the first couple of weeks in October, before CIN. I'm thinking a Sunday early-morning shootout works best. How about October 10?

    Couple of thoughts:

    - I don't have the time, or inclination, to make this a professional / sponsored / media-hyped event. Let's keep it simple, as we always do. Hubi's a phenomenal photographer, and it makes sense to use him and other enthusiasts (if Hubi is so inclined, of course).

    - We'll capture the cars in three phases: (i) night, (ii) crack of dawn, (iii) and early-day. Yes it's early, but think of the bright side: you can come straight from da clubz.

    - Everybody is welcome to attend, but this is going to be a Ferrari-only shoot-out. It's by us. For us.

    - Might make sense to get some shines on Saturday. Eric / I know a terrific place across the pond for the hookup. Maybe we do a fun-run Saturday and then some wash / waxing. Let's coordinate on this.

    Keep the ideas flowing. And let me know who's in.

    Vik I know where there are going to be a good 1/2 a dozen Fcars in Manhattan THIS Sunday morning. Let's see Pchops at 1AM, race over by 3AM, breakfast, into the city by 5AM for photos? I think sunrise is at 6:31 Sunday.
    Don't forget after the clocks change again sunrise is going to be even earlier.
