Timing belt marks

there should be a punch mark. Atleast on my 300ZX Twin Turbo does and it has the double overhead cams also. Also they won't "line up" with the belt. But when you put the new belt on they must line up the first time. Not sure how many revolutions it takes for them to all line up again, but on ZX's its alot.

 

my shop here in the US (one of the best), said the marks on the ferrari engines were mostly useless anyways and highly recommended using a timing wheel.

Du SKAL simpelthen bruge et vinkelhjul paa cranke'en samt maale udstyr for at finde TDC paa alle ventiler is CYL 1 og 8. Der er mange links i forumet fra Fat Billybob (soeg eller send ham et privat besked) han er den bedste med disse ting, mens der er MANGE andre der taler simpelthen noget lort...

NO NO NO... At least once follow these threads to at least verify your marks. Your car will thank you. Always degree if you want precision and optimum running because engine wear makes the marks move.

There is no mark on the crank wheel because it is the factory intention that you properly find TDC by any of a number of methods.
