http://www.spiegel.de/sport/formel1/0,1518,517886,00.html BMW have offered Glock a test driver contract, but he declined it and will go to Toyota for 3 years, replacing Ralf Schumacher. Toyota's test driver Franck Montagny will be replaced by Japanese rookie Kamui Kobayashi.
Not Alonso but better than Ralph. Kobayashi is one of the Toyota Drivers Program drivers and he's had a good career so far. He had double titles in 2005 in two Renault formula series and has posted strong results in F3. Toyota seems to be doing well in the recent tests.... whatever that means.
Timo's a good choice. Not stellar but has good development experience. Toyota needs a Plug-and-play driver not spend time nurturing one. The money saved on Ralphies salary can pay for one car.
All that money to burn and they give the nod to Glock. The techs must be in charge over there. Ralf now Glock. Job security when the speed isn't there.
