    Hi Walter,
I just found interesting pictures on the Fb page of Redline restorations in Connectitut. The original body of 151*002 just before being removed after Brand Hatch 1963.

This is it in the Maserati factory in 1979. ©Oosthoek.

There were some original parts/components like the rear axle etc. The chassis is -to my knowledge- new. The engine is original and came via the old Peter Kaus collection.

A very difficult task to keep the original paint.

Very interesting photo. But its not the Tipo 151 that gets my attention here. Its the A6GCS-body of which I believe is the ex-test car of Moss/Jenkinson for the MM 1956, a prototype 250S...

Stange - because the car is believed to be lost today!

Walter correct me if I'm wrong, but the original 450S engine from Tipo 151 #002 after the crash was used in Tipo 54 #002.

Boulevard Motorcars aka Chuck Bronson aka owner of a certain notorious 450S has been advertising a Tipo 151 for sale for some years. Would this be the car now being restored at Redline restorations. I always feel suspicious when I see any previously undiscovered car that has suddenly been found and is being restored, hopefully this one will have any issues fully disclosed.

Boulevard claims to have the remains of #004, what Redline has is one of the three bodies that were on #002.

The 450S that Boulevard has been presenting as the remains of #4505 the past few years has been officially proven false by a thread here on FChat.

What is a "Tipo 54 002"? The Tipo 54-code stands for the 450S and there was no chassis "002" - all chassis-no. start with a "45xx" and also their engines.

What is the "notorious 450S"?? Do you mean the today-"#4505"?

Yes the very one, offered by them for some years now and also attempted sale at RM (Arizona '08)

    RM Auctions

I personally love the second part of this paragraph from the auction description

Nonetheless, the history of this car has been somewhat controversial, a result of the extensive damage it suffered, and the major reconstruction it required. RM Auctions has not been able to determine beyond question the degree of originality of s/n 4505 as it is presented today. There are those who claim that the car is substantially – or even entirely – rebuilt from parts of other cars.

And very interesting that they are claiming to have the remains from #004. Speaking of Tipo 151's I have an interesting story regarding one that I will try and dig up this afternoon.... Thanks for clarifying the information.

"#4505" is on the market since almost 10 years! By far its the most doubtful 450S of all!

I was going to post an article/ picture I had scanned from Classic & Sportscar about 10 years ago. It showed Gordanengo's workshop and had a 151 body in it circa 1964 spec. I was thinking it would be interesting to post and ask if anyone knows which of the "replica/ rebuild/ restorations" uses the body.

But then I noticed a highly respected Maserati authors name throughout the artical and I thought why not ask, so Walter which one is using this body and do they admit its lineage or is it claimed that it came from elsewhere ?

Waste of time and effort IMO.

Isn't there another 151 that is racing again already, that was damaged at Goodwood recently and has had to have the front rebuilt?.
