Tips for USGP?

Hi all,

I'm planning to attend the 2013 USGP. This will only be my third F1 race that I've attended.

Can those who attended last year give me tips on what to do/what not to do?
Transportation? (wasn't planning on renting a car and driving to the track).
Hotels near shuttle buses to the track?
Best corner(s) to be on?

Trying to book my flight soon.
