Tips to protect engine and gearbox?

First and most important, have the annual service done every year, fresh oil and a new filter being critical to engine longevity. And use the recommended oil, whichever brand you choose. If you don’t use a dealership find an experienced and reputable Ferrari mechanic / shop. Make sure all the belts get checked during the service.

Always let the engine warm up sufficiently before driving off, and even then let it get to operating temp before driving it hard, ie near red-line.

If the gearbox fluid has not been changed in several years go ahead and invest in that as well.
