Hi, does anyone have driving impressions on either Michelin 215/70 VR 15 XWX tires or Pirelli 215/70 Z 15 (P4000) tires on your vehicles you have or previously had. Thank you.

There are a few non-conclusive threads if you do a search on 'p4000'

I've driven cars with both of these tires, but never owned them long-term.

This being said, both are similar riding tires. They are expensive, but are not the best tires in either manufacturer's line. Essentially, they would compare to each company's modern "sport touring" tires, providing decent ride and decent traction. Many cheaper tires provide better grip.

As a general rule, the Pirellis will wear out quicker than Michellins.

The Perrelli tires are the only ones I found that have an appropriate speed rating.

Do they make the PS2 in a 15" size?

Tire Rack doesn't show anything smaller than 17" in a PS2, so I doubt it. But you could check Michelin's website.

Naif- Are you looking for a tire for a 365 GTB/4 for a concourse or are you looking for a tire to give good street performance? The Michelin XWX is a late 60s, early 70s tire I had on my 1969 Porsche 911S, 1970 365 GTB/4 and 1972 Dino 246 GT. They were optimized for wheels between 6 and 7.5 inches. The XWX cannot compare to a more modern tire in performance or wear. Please give us a clue.
