I just used Black Magic tire jell on my tires. Let it dry overnight as per the directions. Went on a group drive with a total of about 300 miles. Now I have a huge mess all over the sides of the car. I don't think I used an excessive amount. Maybe it was the autobaun speeds we reached, who knows. Anyone know what works best to remove this crap from my tires? It seems very resistant to most everything I have tried. Thanks in advance. Gary

I had the same thing happen to me Gary. I used a combination of Simple Green and a citrus orange cleaner I purchased at Lowes/Home Depot. Hose the tires down with as much pressure as possible. Get a bucket of warm to hot water and a stiff bristle brush. Spray the tire liberally with the cleaners (each from their own spray bottles), dip the brush in the bucket of water and scrub away.
BTW, I now use the Eagle 1 tire gel with the "cupped" foam applicator pad on top. After I've applied the gel and it sits for a couple hours (depending on temperature) I get a damp sponge and lightly wipe the tires. The best results are obtained with the tires absorbing direct sunlight for a period of time.

Forget the jells, use Lexol rubber protectant. It leaves a natural
gloss to the tire,no run off. If you go for the hi-gloss look
    use Meguiars.

3M makes a tar/adhesive remover that's very good, try that.

Charlie's Soap. You won't believe how well this stuff work. We use it on everything around the shop. It is also great for cleaning parts. (I'm not associated with this company) http://www.charliesoap.com/

Try CRC Brake Clean, it will take it off. Just spray it on and wipe off, done deal.

Aerospace 303 is the best product I've found.

Gives items treated a new look without the fake, glossy shine.

Best product I have used is "Wheel Wax Extreme Black". Non-greasy, NO fender splatter, makes tires look brand new, not shiney, even smells great!
www.wheelwax.com. same company that makes "WheelWax" which I also recommend to help repell brake dust on wheels.

sounds to me like you may have put it on way to thick. I us minimal amounts and rub it in till it's almost dry. But then again I don't want my tires to look like mirrors!
