Hello, I believe I have Tire Pressure Monitoring Transducers in my car but nothing alludes to having them on the inside of the car. The valve stems look like TPMS Transducers.

The car: 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider F1, 13,500 miles, 19" Challange Wheels, original tires which look good but uneasy driving until I change them out.

I'm in the process of choosing a new set of tires and want to be prepared during the tire change to also get a TPMS up and running.

I think I see that a TPMS was available on the 360, evidence in parts manual online, but where should the information display?

    Possibilities:

    1. The car has the system with transducers on the wheels and antennas in the well house and I'm not seeing the controls or information inside.

    2. Car has transducers and previous owner had a hand held device or used an app on his cellphone.

    3. Wheels came from another car that had a TPMS installed either OEM or after market.

I have the original window sticker and a TPMS is not listed. i can't recall if the 19 wheels were listed on the window sticker. I don't think so because the tire pressure chart in the right door shows 18" data and no 19" data.

I think the app for my iPhone would work for me the best. I found some companies that sell kit with transducers that screw onto the valve stem, but that look is not for me.

The communication between the xducers and the iPhone on these aftermarket systems seems to be Bluetooth. I wonder if the free app would talk to my xducers?

I think the first thing I should do is go down to my local tire shop and talk tires and xducers and see if they can interrogate the xducers. I have a couple of apps installed on my iPhone and with the xducers address or serial numbers I could see if the app would work.

    Any thoughts please...

360's did not have tire pressure monitors as standard or an option.

That may be, but the oem Ferrari stems have the nuts on the outside. I know of no 360 that came with TPMS stock.

I retract the statement that I saw TPMS hardware in the parts manual, When first researching I was leafing between the 360 and the 430 and looked again just now and the TPMS hardware was only in the 430. But the transducers look like any other TPMS xducer with the bezel nut on the outside.
