Now this is not specific to Ferrari, but I'm sure you all have some experience with low profile sport tires. I do not. Advice is welcomed. My wife recently hit a large constriction reflector while changing lanes. Though the object did not puncture the tire, it caused the wheel to dig into the side and now I'm out $300+... The tire is very new, maybe 3,000 miles on it at most, so I'm disappointed to say the least. I ordered a new tire and go to get it installed, when the guy points out that one of the other tires has a small tear where the wheel dug into it. It's not flat, it's just a ticking time bomb... I have never had this issue with any other tire or vehicle. Why are these tires prone to getting tears in the side and most importantly, why do I have to pay hundreds of dollars for a tire that won't get me past 3000 miles?
Put a claim in with the local jurisdiction or construction company where this happened. Many times times you will be reimbursed. Worth a try.
Lower profile tires have less compliance (= stiffer) as they have less rubber spring cushion. Thus they are less forgiving (and transfer more impact to the wheel). What profilee do you have? My 458 has 35-series, my Z06 has 25-series. EP328: good idea. I know in my county Michigan you can do that, but you have to prove you (or someone) submitted a complaint.

Best way is to call and talk to someone. I have called my Road Commission to have my road graded and they have been nice. I myself did not (yet!) have to file a claim.
Very low profile tires are much more easily damaged. At least all you did was damage a tire. Bent wheels as a result of those tires is also very common and can cost quite a bit more to repair or replace.
