I have a question for all you car expert. Can I fit 255/35/30 (F) and 315/35/20 onto my stock 599 rims without issues? The reason why I'm saying this is because the Michelin Super Sport is about to be released those are the closest in comparison to the stock tire sizes.

On a side note, would the GTO wheels/tires fit onto the regular 599GTB without modification?

Michael- The GTO wheels should fit. Here are the specs for 599 wheels:

    599/HGTE

    Five Spoke F 19”, R 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm
    Front 8J X 19 ET 43.5 mm, Rear 11J X 20 ET 63.8 mm
    Challenge Monolithic 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm
    Front 8J X 20 ET 43.5 mm, Rear 11J X 20 ET 63.8 mm
    HGTE Five Spoke 20”, 5 X 114 mm
    Front 8.5J X 20 ET 40 mm, Rear 11J X 20 ET 63.8 mm

    599 GTO

    Five V/Ten Spoke 20”, 5 X 114.3 mm
    Front 9.5J x 20” ET 38 mm, Rear 11.5J x 20” ET 63 mm

The tires you want are taller than standard in front (27.03" vs 26.75") and taller than standard in back (28.68" vs 28.41"). ABS gives problems somewhere between 4% and 5% differential from stock. Stock differential is 1.66" and what you want is 1.65" so no problems there. Your car will sit half the difference in tire height higher, so 0.14"/3.56 mm higher in front and 0.135"/3.43 mm in the rear. Hardly noticeable, so it looks like they will work on the stock rims, except generic 255/35s work on 8.5"-10" rims, so they are a little wide for the stock 8.0" front rims. Probably not too much of a problem and you need to look up the rim width recommendations for the specific Super Sport tires.

    Thanks Terry!

Well, I forgot to mention that the tires will go on my HRE P40, which runs 9in front and 11in back.

Just by eyeballing my front, I'm sure I can get the new front tires to fit without rubbing. I'm more concerned about the rears though.

Michael- The rears will be no problem. The 599 has huge rear wheel wells and could accept a much larger tire than you are proposing to use.
