Hey everyone, I have done an extensive F-Chat search on this but just wanted to verify from anyone with direct experience. I know I am going to put Michelin's on my 360...the question is which ones. I have been leaning towards Pilot Super Sport but they aren't available in factory sizes. I have seen some posts where people have put on the following without issue: F: 225/40ZR18 R: 285/35/ZR18 Has anyone done these sizes with the SS? The options would be PS4, PS5 or SS. I don't really need an "all season" tire, which is why I am thinking the SS. Thanks in advance for any help!
I don't recommend altering the tire size on mid engine cars that are super sensitive to the slightest change in balance, especially if you are going to drive it the way its meant to be I would select a different tire such as: https://tiresize.com/tires/BFGoodrich/g-Force-Sport-COMP-2.htm since it has the correct stock diameters. Just my 2 Euros
Yeah thanks - been thinking this same thing. I have some PS5's on order so may just try those for awhile. There are other options at Tire Rack but haven't seen many reviews on anything other then Pirelli which are quite a bit pricier and have mixed reviews here.
I run those sizes in PS4S with no issues. The PS4 and PS5 are not really at the same level as SS. The PS4S is the successor to the SS. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
My '01 Modena came to me in May of '19 with Continental in 225/45R18 and 285/40R18. Replaced these in mid'21with identical size Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. With my relatively benign driving style, I've been totally pleased. No rubbing issues.
I recently had the same issue and decided on PS5 in original stock sizes. I've been very happy with the ride and grip. I doubt the I would be able to even notice the performance advantage of 4S.
Interesting. PS5 are available in the OEM sizes but not at TireRack. https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tires/michelin-pilot-sport-5?tyreSize=20 Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
On the hunt for tires myself. In the US, the PS5 is currently only available from Costco (!) or tirebuyet.com. When I asked tirerack about it, they said they'd have it sometime in 2024.
The PS5 is not the successor to the high performance PS4S, but more of a grand touring tire. You’d be better off going with PS4S than waiting for a lower performance tire. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I have 225/40ZR18 front, and 285/35 ZR 18 rear Bridgestone's on my 360. I've been running that size on my 360 for many years (car is on its 3rd set in that size). No issues.
