I was driving my 2014 458 spider over the weekend on the highway. Got a little bored so I fumbled with some of the buttons specifically the tire temp/psi button.

So after driving the car for 30-45 highway minutes (minimal braking) it registered about 135 -145F (65C) in the front 120’ s in rear ,seems too hot, but no alarms went off, and the RACE mode monitor showed all GREEN (tires, engine, and chassis). The outside temp was high 80’s. Maybe fellow 458 drivers can confirm or let me know what their temperature range is after driving for 30 minutes under these conditions if they have TPMS in their car.
Also has anyone had their tires turn red in the screen panel and at what temperature?

    Thank you in advance.

Never seen it go red. Looks normal to me for a hot day. The fronts are warmer than the rears unless you’re doing burnouts.

Switch to Centigrade, it look cooler. ;)

That's not too hot. Yes they will go from Green to Yellow to Red, and yes I have had them go red (only on the track). I forget the temp reading but I know it was over 200F and I believe it was up in the mid 200's, something like 240F. Had them go Red at both Sebring and Palm Beach Raceways. I stopped tracking the 458 2 years ago because as a street car it couldn't handle hard track use.

Thanks for your input. Was comparing to my new M4 which almost never goes above 100F

Doesn't sound too far off. I think mine were showing 120's last time on the highway, but it was a cooler evening. Make sure the tire pressure is correct with a gauge. The readings from the car are usually off base a few PSI in my experience.
