For the same money, you can buy a set of new 16" Mondial wheels from Superformance AND mount new 16" rubber. Check 'em out.

Check with Coker Tire. They bought the original TRX molds from Michelin and now manufacture these themselves, but the cost is dear, and the performance suffers compared to more modern rubber. Unless you want to keep it all original, your best bet is to buy aftermarket 16" wheel and better, cheaper modern rubber.

Search Superformance in the UK. I don't think I can enter a URL here. Just Google Superformance Ferrari.

The Mondial offset is goofy. I bought the original NEW 16" Mondial wheels as used on later Mondials. Bone stock look with $80 tires!

T Rutlands often has repop for the Mondial 8 and Quatrovalve in a 16 inch rim listed on ebay around $1600 IIRC.
Dont see them in their current ebay listing but would be worth giving them a call.

Later 3.2 and T rims work as well--I am in the process of refinishing a set off ebay for my 82 Mondial 8 as the TRX's are getting thin. These use 205/55 R16 front and 225/50R16 rear that are the same diameter as the OEM TRXs. These work with original lug bolts.

348 17 inch Wheels can be used but require longer lug bolts. I had acquired 2 rears and a front and was looking for the other front with the idea of using them when I found the 3.2 set for about the cost of a set new bolts and maintain more original look (the 3.2 set is convex face).

308 wheels do NOT work due to different offset.

You can buy the reproduction 16 inch QV wheels direct from Superformance in the UK (www.superformance.co.uk) for about $1,200USD including shipping.

Or you can buy them from T Rutlands in the US for about $1,700 plus shipping.

THAT is the smart decision. Convenience of 16" wheels with the absolutely stock look of original Mondial wheels. Once they're mounted, please post a picture.
