I have an M3 2002 convertible and a 360 Modena. Cars cannot be directly compared, but for what it is, the M3 cant be beat, PERIOD!

Maybe all the people that are dissing your car's, own Porsches.
It seems like almost every Porsche on the list beat those two bmw's.

I agree with that. Don't care if folks like my ride or not as long as I like it. Enjoy the car and relax.

Maybe thats because most of us here are Ferrari fans and many like myself don't really care what an M3 will smoke.

WOW! A professional driver turned a decent lap time in a M3 and a M5 on the Ring. How exactly does this relate to you, and your supposed ability to "smoke" super-exotics? And also, do you usually prefer a hookah, or regular J*O*B papers when you "smoke"?

I don't think you get flamed merely for the fact that you beat exotic cars in a Bimmer. No doubt that M series' are great cars.
But what would you think of getting beat by a turbo civic?

Actually they are sold in the US... I have a E46 M3 (not a CSL)... but who cares what it can smoke. It's not an F-car.

The m series is a completeely different car. Im not saying that as a bad thing, i really like the m3 m5 and m6. The new m roadster is an awesome car. BMW is a really cool car manufacturer, but some people just have something against them for some reason. Notice the m3 and even the m5 are faster then the 360cs and f430. I am a huge Ferrari fan but i cant argue with speed around a track as impressive as the ring.

If you go to the BMW chat site and talk about all the Ferraris you smoke, people will cheer you on. What do you expect here? We are Ferrari fans. Coming over here to brag about your fast BMW is just trolling.

I'm pretty sure there a couple imported ones running around.
Nope. Perhaps you're thinking of the competition package.

This a stupid thread, all these times were taken at different times under different conditions, you even listed the Murcie twice, once slower than your M3 and once Faster. BMW are nice cars and the only reason someone would diss this car would maybe because of the owners attitude.

In the hands of a capable driver I dont see how the F1 could only manage a 7:45 on a high-speed course such as the ring

I have an M3 (and usually own a 'super-exotic' as well- e.g.,Ferrari, Porsche GT2, 6.0 Lambo, etc.), but since I can only drive one at a time, I've never had this problem.
