    Hi guys,

Need some new boots on my 86 TR. They are 16" wheels and NOT metric wheels. However Kumho are out of stock and there are NONE in the UK. Michellin might (maybe) have some but there is no guareentee how old they are and they are BIG money.

Has anyone ever tried different sizes at all?

The fronts 225/50/16 are very common, the rears 255/50/16 are the big problem.

I like the BF Goodrich that I put on mine last year...they replaced the Dunlops I had on before.

Just got my tires replaced as well. I checked with Coker tires on the PilotSports but they are all a few years old and are no longer in production, which makes BFGoodrich the only choice on the market right now.

i know its sacreligious to some but hv u considered upsizing the wheels to 18 or even 19". tire change bfecomes infinitely easier n i think car looks better. with low profile tires and lightweight material , imo handling is greatly improved (esp if u put in bigger front brake calipers with the extra space)

If he gets at least 17" tires he can get the EXCELLENT Michellin Pilot Sport PS2s, probably the best all around true street performance tire going. I wouldn't go above 18" as you'll lose performance as your sidewall continues to shrink...

It is getting tough to find a matching set. I ordered BF Goodrich G-Force Sports from Discount Tire and they are supposed to be in this week. Pretty good price too ($97 front, $134 rear)
