I've searched and not found my answer so, here is the question. I am looking into buying a 1998 355 that needs tires. Stock wheels; what is the largest tire I can get on the stock wheels? Not necessarily the same answer; what is the best brand to go with?

    Thanks in advance.

You can go to 295/35/18 in the rear and 225 in front. Michelin Pilots come i these sizes.

    Front 235/40/18

Pirelli Corsas and Michelin Pilot Sport Cups come in these sizes.

I am not sure the 295's will make the car any faster on the track. Unless it is just looks that you want. Also there is more surface area to acqaplane in wet weather!

I use Pirelli Corsa 265/35/18 on the rear and am very pleased with their road and track perfomance.
