    Can I please get a recommendation for tires for a 2002 911 turbo 4wd? 18" wheel, has 235/40 zr18...can I go larger? Impact on performance? Brand you suggest?

    I have always been a Pirelli fan first, and Continental second.

    I never pay for the Porsche spec "N0" tires either.........a waste of money IMHO.

    For winter........Pirelli's only because they are quieter on clear roads that most other snow tires.

    I wouldn't bother upsizing, you've got AWD and don't need to IMHO. Expect several different answers to this one.

    Just a suggestion:

    Yokohama Neova AD08
    Yokohama Sport
    Michelin PS2

    Try to not miss-match brands front to rears (you only asked for the front tire size).

    You can try on a 315 in the rear on that large rear wheel (295 stock), but I am comfortable with the 235 in front no matter what the rear application is.

    ..parked for the winter. thanks for the recommendations/info....I will check with tirerack next. 315's work for the rear??

    Just got Pirelli's on the 997 and like them a lot so far!

    upsizing will not decrease handling , I recommend staying with Porsche rated tires
