Well, it was just a matter of time before an auto maker put these in a production car(mass produced). Infiniti M45 has now incorporated this into its' valve train and I must say this is a bold move considering this carries a hefty warranty.

The 355 engine is very capable of 10,000+rpm(with oiling mods), but one of the biggest drawbacks was the valve mass(not to mention the crank rod end bearing). My biggest concern after discussing this with Dave Helms was the wear...valve seats, guides, and how the stem of the valve, valve tip, and the valve back side would hold up.

So now with the Infinite set-up which went thru 100's of thousands of miles of testing before being put into production, I am very interested in the guide material, valve seat material, and the titanium valve construction.

Does anyone have any info on what Infinite is using and how it was constructed?

This is not for the el cheapo, drive your car to resturant owner, but it has major ramifications for tracked cars or those who want to push this engine to its' limits and remain normally aspirated.

Just some more things to discuss in the performance/reliability dream world arena.

I am very familiar with the use of titanium and nimonic valves in motorcycles. They have been using them for years, but there is noticeable wear. The amazing thing about Infinite is that they have come up with something good enough to warranty for a long time....they have found something that is durable and long lasting, and if you spend this kind of money that is what you want.
