I want to buy a set of wheel bolts for my '76 GTB (placed a WTB without results) and ran across the ECS website where they list titanium conical seat wheel bolts of differing lengths from 14x1.5x 28 mm to 14x1.5x40mm. What sizes do our 308's take for the front and for the rear (a little shorter)? I'm not certain I'll order titanium ones but I do want to make double-dog sure I know the exact length for each to be able to tell fronts from rears. Are titanium bolts as durable and strong as the traditional steel ones? Which, among our usual sponsor vendors, is likeliest to have chrome steel ones in stock for quick shipping?
Thank you all for your help and recommendations.

Assuming you have factory original wheels:

    FRONT:
27mm head, 45mm length (inclusive of threads), 20mm of thread.
REAR: 27mm head, 35mm length (inclusive of threads), 20mm of thread.

You asked about relative strength. Titanium is not as strong as steel. Its only advantage in this application is weight, a characteristic that will never be noticed on a street car.
Because of that strength difference use of a torque wrench with correct torque data is mandatory.

Thank you Brian, I always use a torque wrench when dealing with alloy wheels. Got factory wheels arriving on Tuesday so I'll need to order a full set of bolts asap, hope you have them (Hill??) in stock Daniel.

First, I want to say that it is very, very kind of you to share F part information -- I wish more F part suppliers wouldn't be so secretive. When Dennis and Norma were operating AllFerrariParts, going to their website was like being able to look into the personal notes of an F part supplier collected over ~50 years -- they often directly showed, for example, the equivalent Marelli or Veglia part number and/or the physical dimensions. Us DIYers lost a very valuable resource when they sold AllFerrariParts.

But I need to challenge you on the head size -- shouldn't that be a 22mm (or 7/8") hex? Maybe you mistyped or read a sloppy "2" as a "7"?

I suspect he meant the length of the head. There are different lengths of heads for different applications.

There’s an eBay dude who sold brand new triple plated Ferrari wheel bolts in every size under the sun. They are really well machined. They were $10 each. Haven’t looked in a bit.
