Guys , I am looking at buying this 96 F355 that was possibly converted to Challenge spec. Can anyone tell me how it left the factory and if an official Ferrari challenge pack kit had been fitted? tks
The info I show in the registry shows it was an original Challenge car... If you get it--please update the registry with the info www.ferrari355registry.com
This becomes interesting now as visually it now has the regular 355 wheels but you are able to tell that the rear wheel hub was meant to take much wider wheels. What else should I be looking out for? If it was a challenge conversion instead of a factory challenge car, what will the registry show it as? Inside, carpets have been laid, albeit with a non-oem material and regular seats have been put in place. In terms of mileage, due to conversion from km/h to mph, mileage verification is now impossible but if it passes leak down and compression testing, should I be concerned if it hasn't been re-built? Also, the car is equipped with air-con now and shouldn't challenge cars be non air conditioned? I am going to have a specialist look at the chassis for previous accident damage to make sure that it is straight. Thanks. hoefully all checks out and I will be gettig the challenge car soon.
