    My tmobile bberry died last night -- IT gave me a new one this afternoon, but they're saying that the SIM card will take 24/48hrs to reset (was someone else's before -- my sim card in the first bberry was the problem). Problem is that it's my only phone and I'm leaving for a business trip tomorrow and I absolutely need this damn thing to work.

    Can anybody help?

    Hey there.

    I can tell you there is no way to speed up the activation process. The good news is that it typically takes no where near the amount of time they claim it will for a sim card to activate.

    If there's no way to wait it out, go buy a prepaid phone from the store and put enough minutes on there to last you through your trip.

    that's ridiculous, imo. Thanks for the advice -- hopefully it will turn itself on before the trip -- i need the email capability.

    I guess I can redirect my anger towards our IT guy -- the sim card was in backwards... Everything started working as soon as i fixed it. Thanks for the help guys.
