Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and...Well not really; I just like the Stones a lot. Actually, I'm new to your group and wish I had discovered you a while back when I did own a Ferrari. Oh how I miss the good ol' days...But maybe there's hope in the future.

I read some of your posts re BB's and will state that I am one of those 70's kids that grew up admiring that car much like my 15 yr old admires the 360 and Enzo today. So I've been keeping my eye open for a while now, and I discovered that many of those cars came without the Boxer trim color combo; something I didn't know as a kid. Furthermore, there seems to be a fair amount of them on the market.

So I ask you, do you prefer the black Boxer trim or without? I like the trim and partial to Silver over Black.

I have two 308GTBs with it....I vote 'yes'.....

I know of a silver/black with red interior for sale....or it was recently.

It was an 'option' to 'delete' it when the 365 and 512BBs were ordered..

I'm a little worried about the guy who votes no for "trim":D
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Someone just voted for no "trim" without including a reply, looks like they don't want to come out at this time.

Big Tex: Yeah, I just found out that the B trim was an option for the 308. There was a silver one that just sold at Motorcar Gallery. How would you like to part with one of those two 308's? What colors are they?

Murph: Silver/Black with red is calling me!

There was a perfect looking no-trim, red one with tan/red Daytona seats on Ebay that looked gorgeous.

It depends on the color. Mine is a dark silver and looks to me great without the trim. Some more vivid colors red, white , yellow seem to look good with the trim. Me I like to blend in with the road.

That's a nice pair, but it doesn't really show the difference very well. Any side view pics?

But the shot brings to mind another burning question that you guys can help me with. Which cars had the amber lights and which had the clear? Shall I make another poll for amber/clear?

Boxerman: That's a good point. I didn't know they made a gray but I agree that may look better without. Also, the dark blue and obviously the black.

I like the solid look, my car is solid rosso corsa, but I like the black trim cars as well. doesn't matter to me, the satin black trim seemed to me as an experiment in easy rock chip touch ups.

Concerning the clear/amber lights the clear were for some Euro Countrys regulations.

It's true, you can paint your lower half and the BBQ pit at the same time!

The poll is more balanced now, I think among Fchat owners, its 50/50 or even towards the solid color side...............

    My two 308s are yellow/black and blue/black.

Agreed. Pinin out did themselves on this one. You can paint it any which way you want. It's still going to be beautifull!

Big Tex: I'll buy the blue, unless you rather sell the red. As this thread is really about the paint anyway, can you post some pics here?

Thanks to all for making my first thread a worthy one.

Yea, let's see if anyone notices it switched from In-Betweeners to 308s.
Do we have any strippers on FChat?

    My 308GTBs????

Ask the Houston guys, they're pretty used up! LOL!

I wasted my photo allotment long ago........5MB is the limit w/o subscribing.

The World's Fastest Art Car (yellow/black one) is in Cavallino #133 and all over the internet....

The recently purchased blue/black one we took to the Ferrari French Quarter Classic in New Orleans, you can see it at the end of the 308GTB row, strangely enough, next to a green, then silver, then black car. All the 328s were red/tan!

I'm not at all sure the Boxer trim on the Blue one is factory, I noticed the other day it was unsold for three years at Ron Tonkin when new. Warranty started in summer '80!

That would have made it a candidate for some "spicing up'! It has black front fender louvers and a rear airfoil, both incorrect for a 1977, but more in tune with 1981 trim cars.

Yes we do,.......search for 'Miko Morris'.

She's actually an entertainer, thank you very much. Ask about her fetish photo portfolio.

She didn't stay long, more of a Import Nights girl......
