for daily driving, not for track.
Previous owner install Fabspeed headers 8 years and 19K miles ago... no blanket, no issues. However, I plan to track my car. Anyone try wrapping their headers while installed? REALLY don't want to remove them just to thermal wrap.
The wrap around tape is next to useless, mine have the capristo blankets and knocks the hell out of the engine bay temps
Mine is only a road car. I used to work on steam turbines and these capristo blankets are made of materials we used on the steam pipes- with 515 C steam temperature you could easy hold your hand on the outside of the insulation.
Everyone shld ignore me. Cant keep track of everything. Turns out i have blankets. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is a idiot youtuber that coated his fabspeed recently and paid the price by setting his engine bay on fire. I'm not going to include his youtube page because I don't like to spread stupidity. Blankets are the best option.
