No but I did enquire previously, it has 50k miles on the clock and asking price is £105k private seller. The others I'm looking at are cheaper and lower mileage.... I'm based up north, so at least a 6 hour drive just to get to Devon

Mmm maybe in the UK but i dont see it here in the us...
I can get a tr for 100k put a 575 m differential and 575m clutch for 20k at the door and i would still have 60k left compared to the cheapest 512tr on Autotrader;)

I bought a TR as I prefer the iconic looks and without the 512 to compare, Im perfectly happy with it, albeit its had a rebuilt gearbox and diff upgrade!

Mike - I know the feeling, living down here is miles from anywhere, but for the right car I had to do a few 000 miles with hotel stops etc! I know he would take £95k.

I looked at a few Jap imports and couldn't help feeling they had just been imported, tarted-up and flipped. That's after they've whipped out the after-market bucket seats etc etc that usually adorn Jap cars. They would need to be min £20k less for me to consider.

Thanks for the information, I am in the exact scenario you just described! Originally I was after a 360 Spider and came across so many poor examples at high prices so was let really disappointed, then the Testarossa in the Cotswolds I went to see but was tatty including body panel gaps etc. Then went to see the ones up in Bradford and so on.

Wasted quite a few days of my life searching for the right car and hundreds of miles, crappy dealers over describing their cars etc.

Definitely agree with you about cheap imports and being flipped quickly.

The one in Hampshire has apparently full documented history, had £11k spent on it recently and major etc.

However now with Brexit, falling prices and a sudden increase of Testarossa's / 512TRs - makes me have doubts.

There's 2x 12,000Mile Testarossa's which have just appeared for sale, all FSH and VGC apparently. For £93k.... Another 40,000Mile one for sale at £76k etc.

I think it is worth every Penny ....

Not only the far superior brakes, but also the next gen injection system and many electrical systems ...

I still bet i can upgrade those parts on a TR and still have lots left.
Brembo brakes are like 8k at the door for a tr...
Agreed the 512 is a better car and better looking to me but almost 100k better? I would beg to differ. For almost 200k u have a tr and a 430 to toss around;)
Now if money is not an issue...;)
