    I have my engine out now and wanting to know if y'all aim for the low middle or high valve tappet clearance spec. My book says .2-.25 for intake and .3-.35 for exhaust... some are saying .35-.4 for exhaust? TIA

    Shimming to the low end gives more duration.
    Shimming to the high end gives more seat time.

    What, in particular, are you looking for ??
