I have recently purchased a 1987 328 GTS.The previous owner colour coded the front spoiler, sills/rocker covers and rear vents. It looks very nice. However as the car requies some rust/paint work completing I dont if I should return back to standard. It looks great as it is.It also has non standard 18" Compomotive wheels and lowered suspension - so it is a bit of a one off. I also have the original wheels so I could go back to standard if I wanted to. Your opinions would be valued. I have retouched one of the photos attached to give me an idea of what it might look like.
    Thanks Kevin Nester

I would put it back to OEM, which actually may mean stripping the paint off the front spoiler and leaving it unpainted. Too much red down low makes the car look chunky, IMO. Pininfarina designated those parts black for a reason.

Sidenote: My 328 was special ordered from the factory as a nero metallico car with a front spoiler painted in the same color (901/C). Per what I've been told, the first long-term owner (10 years or so) ended up putting it back to plain black because Ferrari people, and show judges, assumed that a nero metallico front spoiler was some kind of owner modification.

And one more vote for keeping it color coded - think it looks great that way!

I woudl keep it as is, with the exception of switching to 17" wheels. I think that the 18" wheels look a little too big on the car.

+1. And keep the wheels on it right now unless you want a little softer ride in which case the 17's might help.
