ok guys--- here it is. I have had my 2003 360 f-1 for about 5 months now. I absolutely love it. I have come across a 2004 cs with 105 miles on it, same color as my current 360. Dealer will take my car and 50K. What do you think? I'm absolutely lost...please help.

I would trade in your car and the 50k to buy the 360CS. The value of the car will be much higher years down the road. You should really drive it though to see if the difference between the cars is justified.

Doug, thanx for the reply. Do you think it would be 50k higher? also have you driven both? just looking for some insight. Thanx again

I'd most certainly go for it if I were you, Doug McGill is absolutely correct the cs will be worth alot more in a few years compared a 360 coupe. But make sure you really drive the cs before you make your desicion it's a much different car. I'd also try to get it down a little lower then 50k though, that seems a little steep, but the dealers need to make a living too I guess.

if you like the cs and $ not issue, obviously make the trade. if $ is issue, then wait till 430 forces prices of cs down (which will happen)

    Do it, but...

do it on condition that they put you on the list for an F430--whether you think you want the F430 or not.

most dealers will put you on the list with a 10k deposit...no interest....the question is how far down the list....they say it is 1st come 1st serve, but each dealership has favorite people who they move up....50k is about right for sell a car wholesale and buying a cs,it seems like a fare deal...do it!!!!you only live once...the cs is faster, more dynamic car....but get the tubi, a must for any 8 or 12c ferrari!!!!

There is a recent and interesting thread about the Shenanigans of getting on the F430 list.

This is why I recommend using the purchase to get on the list.

I'd negotiate that trade-in value. A 2003 F1 should have a little more value than that, IMHO. I agree with the others that the CS should be worth more, especially since 360 prices are due to take a big hit over the next 24 months with the 430 coming out.

It's worth it!!! I had the 360 F1 and I sold it and bought the CS. It's on another level altogether.

Def go with it!!! the 50K sounds roughly about right considering the mileage and dependent on the condition. But the CS is one of the best and most exciting ferraris made IMO ....you wont regret it!

Congrats dude! You'll love the 360CS. Its a great car. Probably one of the greatest Ferrari's ever made imo. When you get the car post pics! Congrats again! Some may say just to wait for the F430 but you made a great decision. And besides, you could always trade the 360CS for the F430CS when it comes out....if you want, of course. ;)

    Congratulations:D

I am debating buying a CS as well but the car that I am interested in has over 3500 miles:eek:

Would $200k still be a deal on a car with that many miles? I have found a few for $190's with under 1000 miles.

I'd rather one with 3500 properly driven miles than 1000 abusive miles.
I'd focus more on the source than the miles.

My CS has over 12000 miles... and I wouldn't trade it for any other. The miles aren't hurting it... in fact, the exhaust is sounding better and better.

    FWIW,
