Hi, I have an 07 black 430 coup and when ever I look at the rear engine hood I think the two vents next to the glass would look better painted black. I really don't want to alter the car from factory specs. I saw a thread here that had mentioned CF vents but I can't find it now. Comments please.

I believe Exotic Auto Gear has what you're looking for.

Have been contemplating on changing the vents on my spider as well but haven't done it since I have some concerns about hazing of the CF vents/ diffusers due to heat and UV...

    Thoughts?

Checked out Exotic, $1400. I think I would prefer to paint so that they blend in with the body color. The CF would still stand out visually.

I know a lot of guys with blacks cars paint the rear engine area, and the front bumper nostrils black to match the paint.. I might be one of them soon

These are on a Grigio Titanio out in bright sun, I think they would look great on a black car. They actually look quite dark in person.

I have a black 430 coupe and have the CF vents.. I prefer them over painting but then again I don't know your budget.

I know what you mean by the price. I've been waiting around for a used one on classifieds or was hoping for a group buy from Exotic Auto Gear. Having these vents/dufusers in CF would complete my spider since I bought the CF rear difuser during their group buy last year. My car interior and engine bay already have OEM CF. :)

    Cheers

I do, dresses up the area vs. the plain stock one to me.. not sure I would pay $1400 but glad my PO did.

I like that the grills much the color of the diffuser. I guess that was the reason Ferrari paint them the same color.

I really like the CF look as well. If you're into CF, then it's a no brainer....at least to me. But the $1,400 plus the "Canadian" disadvantage on the exchange rate hurts a bit! :( Especially, in light of the fact that I purchased the rear CF diffuser (relatively large CF piece) during the group buy for only $1,500!!

Anyway, maybe I should just bite the bullet and practice what I preach..... Just enjoy the vehicle in whichever way I like!

    Cheers
