Sigh...I started my 85 QV the other day for the first time in a couple of weeks and it immediately started to smoke out the exhaust. I popped the back and heard the clicking of what sounds to be a stuck valve. After about 30 seconds it went away. SO...clearly this is a sticky valve, correct? Normally I would throw a can of seafoam in and run it for about 100 miles. Any other advice? Other/better products? The car has been religiously serviced and kept in great shape. It doesn't sit MUCH, but occasionally sits for a couple weeks at a time. Is this normal for a car that has 47k miles???
    Thanks in advance!

Seafoam for fuel and Marvel Mystery oil for oil.

Adding a quart of kerosene to the oil and running it for 10 minutes is an old trick that works too. Change your oil when done

Are you sure it's not the A/C belt. A common clicking noise.

This is my vote.... when you let it sit again and it starts to click - spray some belt conditioner on it and see if it immediatly goes away. the acc belts...

I used to use Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel on my XKE, anyone use it in the 308?

Sea foam has too much alcohol in its formula. It is better for putting in the crankcase on really dirty oil but not in a fuel tank unless you burn up all of the fuel. It is like ethanol plus. Not good. Yamaha/Ringfree in oil or fuel or chevron techroline . Mercury makes one also. it is a heavy detergent type to keep carbon from sticking on valves. BUT for a stuck valve marvel oil into the intake seems best as it lubricates the valve stem. Tranny fluid seems to work well as it was an old mechanics tune up trick.Did I say OLD too loud? I have arrived there.

I didn't think it was possible to "have a stuck valve" in these engines without damaging them.

Moisture in the cats it is! Fired it up last night and it purred like a kitten, excuse the pun. I listened real close and it does sound like the clicking is coming from the belts
