I'm sorry but I couldn't deal with you. I like to have confidence and trust with people I deal with, even if I have to pay a little more.
So what your saying is that you would be willing to do buy a car or do business with Bernie Madoff if he gave you a good deal? Thanks but i'll let you have that deal.

I have confidence and trust and FACTS; the facts drive the confidence then the trust, YMMV.
You assumed my position, then you stated "my position", then asked me a question, then answered it. Have a good day, Robert.

I've heard a few horror stories about PPI's gone wrong. What makes your facts more solid than anybody else's, given we all rely on PPI's to judge if a car will pass muster, or not?

I have seen PPIs go terribly wrong, be faked, paid off mechanics, and good PPIs. If you rely soley on a PPI, you will get what you paid for...some of the time. I don't rely on the PPI alone, it is part of several inspections, line items and prerequisites to sale (if so chosen by the Buyer).

If the Buyer relies soley on a PPI, he won't be a client of mine.

So what else is there to rely on?

I have seen this done before. Lawyers will stick in everything and the kitchen sink on what an SOB the defendant is. Then all that is necessary is that the PUBLIC complaint be posted. No need to put yourself out on a limb - just post the complaint - after all it is public.

People will spend $300K on a Ferrari and $200K on a condo and do more inspection of the condo than the Ferrari. They will pay a 6% commission to a Realtor who often does little to assist a Buyer and flatly refuse to pay $10,000 to a Buyer's service on that $300K F car.

Please, someone explain the logic behind that.

    Need a Lamborghini?
Sports Car Company sell mostly Ferrari and Maserati. We can locate a Lambo for you and typically stock a few. We are hooked into the other top wholesale dealers in the USA. If you need a Lambo give me a call. Let me try and beat someone else prices. Once you find the car you like, have it inspected, the only think left for you is to get the car as cheaply as possible. There is a reason we move 300+ exotics per year.

It appears that #2 is in dispute. Roy is saying the Jim did NOT send the carfax showing the salvage title. Looking at the fax headers, they do not appear to be from the same faxed group of pages as what Roy signed, but the way Jim posted the sequence of the scanned documents makes it appear that Roy signed at the bottom of the Carfax, which is misleading. That doesn't sit well with me, if I am interpreting the events correctly.

I haven't followed the discourse between these two Dealers in detail, the detail doesn't interest me in the least. You either have two crooks, one crook and a decent guy, two dumbclucks, one dumbcluck....well, you get the gist.

It's another round in the same, sad story. It will be repeated over and over and over again. Why? Buyers who refuse to seek out independent assistance, Sellers who are looking for "marks" and Dealers who trip over themselves to turn a buck.

As I said, I have not followed the details by the bottom line is there is no good reason whatsoever that this deal got so botched.

    None.

The carfax presented is the one we have in our deal folder. The date shown is the date it was printed. The only document that is from a fax is the PO signed by Cats Exotics.

How do you respond to anything and everything else but a simple question, written in plain and simple english seems to stump you? I posted it again at the bottom just in case you missed it from the others and myself that posted it before. :D

You want an answer? OK. The answer is you already know the answer... Turn your caps lock off already, it's annoying!

Here's the fact: You take two dealers who have been offering and or repping bottom of the barrel cars (sometimes standing on other lots) priced at the low end of the market and they're bound to be story cars of some sort. When you get them together in a deal, why would anyone be so surprised and outraged that something like this has happened....

    It's just common sense.
