I do not want to sound computer illiterate-but I am computer illiterate-so I am asking this question before I single handedly cause the destruction of F-chat. I noticed that in my Privite Message area I had 113 messages stored out of 200. Now when I am done with the messages I delete them, however apparently they show up in F-chat cyberspace. I know that when I have 200 stored out of 200 the F-chat engine will blow a head gasket and I will be assessed about 2 million bucks because it was totally my fault. So my question is: Does any one know how to clear out the cyberspace memory and can actually tell me how to do it. Remember you are dealing with someone who's eyes roll back in their head when you start talking about cut and paste--a procedure I have only successfully accomplished 1 or 2 times and I cannot fathom how I did it and that was after I had taken two computer "for dummies" courses at Brookhaven. All responses will be appreciated.

DON! Call me if you want me to walk you through this over the phone.

Here's the story. Think of your account here on Fchat like your office. Each time you send a PM, it is like invoicing someone. The "invoices" here at Fchat are in duplicate. Each time you send a message, you have a carbon copy saved in your other file cabinet. Just like you would save a copy for the IRS of a bill.

So while you are in your Private Message Area..... Do the following:

Look at where it displays how many messages you have. Below the colored bar showing how many you have saved is a "drop down list". This list says "Inbox" with probably a number and just to the right of the text is a "down arrow", then a square "GO" button. Click the arrow and you can select SENT items. This will bring your to your Sent File Cabinet. Then select the messages with the checkbox on the left and delete them.

Call me if you need help.

ALSO.... Before you hit Send to send a message, toward the bottom of the page there is an option to "Save to sent items". If you uncheck that each time, it won't save the second copy.
