Hi after washing my 360 last night and leathering it off I started the car and after letting it warm up before driving it the slow down warning light came amediately came on.
At the bottom of my road I stopped the car and turned it off alarmed it and dia armed it and went to start it and then it didn't want to start by just turning the key as per normal.
Later on when I was driving it I noticed around town the temperature gauge was fluctuating between the first notch (which from memory is where it normally sits) and 210 half way.
Having never noticed it up this high I wondered wether it was anything to do with washing the car??
Today is the same I took it for a drive (about 60 miles) motorway and traffic and still it fluctuates don't seem to pass the middle.
Is this normal? Or should I get someone to check it out?
Checked the level and it seems to be exactly where it has always been.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Shaun

Yes, I have had something similar happen after washing my car. Maybe I let it warm up a tad too much, not sure. But after starting the car, my check engine light came on. The car ran fine, sounded fine. I think it was one of the sensors on the cats or exhaust. The light stayed on till I put gas in my car. Which it then went off. It occasionally will come on after washing.
I do drive my car and quick retailers just don't work in the engine bay for a car that gets some miles put on it. You can try and tell me over and over that quick detailers will work but microfiber still is dragging a layer of dirt and debris across the car in any situation.

The fluctuating temperature is what concerns me the most as I can't put my hand on my heart and say Ive noticed it before.
I wonderd wether I had maybe fused one of the fans..

The engine check light also has come on in the past but I had two coils on their way out.
The car seems to run and sound the same..
Just seemed strange that in a minute or so it goes from the first line to 210 I would like to think I'd noticed it before.

Thanks Alan will have a look, today drove about 200 miles and a lot of it was on the motorway 120-130 mph ;)
No problem at all temp gauge sits around a needle width below the first line with barely any movement only when I hit a town it moves...
Never gone above 210 and as soon as it gets there it starts to drop.
It the not noticing bit that I'm now watching it like a hawk.

Best news I've heard today! :) as I said I'd never noticed before only the other slow down light and the failed first starting I was super aware of everything.
Will get it checked anyway as can never be too sure.. Although it is quite warm here at the moment between 25/27 degrees so before it starts to get really warm maybe I will have the water system flushed and renewed.

    Roll on the summer! :)
