Classic Motorsports has an artical this month about the best investment cars on the market today. And our 308's are included for a change with a very nice statement " This is the most important Ferrari road car ever produced". I know that we all enjoy our cars for many personal reasons other than market value but it is nice to see them complemented for all the things we already know about them.

Ah, yes, the XJS. The most perfect car in dire need of Chevrolet engine transplant.

I remember, back in the late 1980s, people were inquiring to Jaguar if they could just buy the car without the motor. ROFL

The car was a gorgeous car, and had an impeccable differential, and great brakes, but the motor was iffy and the lucas electronics, abominable; plus the Marconi educated wiring engineers did really strange things with the wiring harness design.

An overbored big block Chev, with a 3.76" stroke and 4.5" bore, using good rods, crank and modified heads, was wondrous (7500 RPM) thing, in one of these cars.

Definitely agree with the Lotus Elise, Porsche 930 and Jag E-Type. And of course the 308. All are a lot of car for not much money.

Other than 308, I like that the Elise is on the list. I'm surprised to see Shelby Cobra; I would've thought it has seen significant appreciation. Early 930s have also been going up the past couple of years.

    Thanks!

The one that catches my eye is the DB7. Checking on-line, they have depreciated down into 308 territory. Wow.
