That's pretty hot stuff, thanks for the link.

The whole thing about the information on the brakes goes to show that at least Coughlan was actively pursuing Ferrari information and that it wasn't a random act of a 780 pages document suddenly arriving at his door step.

And if you combine those facts with the rest of McLaren's behavior (like the inquiry about the legality of Ferrari's underbody) it becomes apparent that they had inside information and were actively using them.

I can understand Todt and hope the legal system will put Stepney and Coughlan behind bars.

I assume Todt made the same case in front of the FIA and therefore it is hard to understand that they let McLaren off the hook that easily. Constructors' points should have been taken away. Still hoping that McLaren might get excluded from the 08 championship once found guilty in an Italian or British court.

The problem that Todt points out is that Ferrari was only an observer at the FIA meeting and couldn't make their case as they wanted to. McLaren was summoned and apparently only McLaren had the chance to put their case forward.

True, but the FIA verdict said they might ban McLaren for 07 and 08 if further evidence will be found. Given how long court proceedings might take, I think their 07 season is safe, but 08 is still a good chance to be lost for them.

"FIA verdict said they might ban McLaren for 07 and 08 if further evidence will be found". big words BUT
1- too lazy to investigate mclaren headquarters
2- untimately too unjust as they have just clearly proven in the mclaren hearing
    to investigate period

they clearly dont care about fairness and just want this to all go away

ferrari has been the biggest part of f1 from practically its humble begining yet fia does not seem to be going out of its way to ensure ferrari are treated fairly

besides id bet a 308 of mine that harddrives are getting replaced at a extraordinary rate and a lineup is forming at the paperscreader at mclaren so other evidence is long gone

What was said is if evidence is found that McCheaters have used any of that knowledge from those documents to gain an advantage on the track then they will be excluded from the 2007 season and possibly the 2008 season. Even if they win both championships this year and evidence is found over the winter or next season then they will loose those titles to the team that came in 2nd and the driver that came in 2nd for the WDC. Even if they win this season it will hardly be a championship that they won fair and square and everyone knows it. But if Ferrari wins, it will be the biggest win ever seeing as they are a huge undredog here.

No, Andreas is probably referring to the fact that the FIA regulations state that after the end of each year, the results of that season cannot be challenged. Sad but true, and it hardly seems reasonable that they would make an exception here, just look at how high and tight they were carrying their rulebooks when they issued no penalty to McLaren from the get-go.

Ferrari should just offer a reward and a job to anyone from within Mcl that can provide them with more proof of Mcl's wrongdoing.
