Todt to be Ferrari CEO

Jean Todt has been appointed Ferrari’s chief executive officer, the Italian marque has announced.

The board of directors met in Turin on Wednesday under the aegis of Ferrari and Fiat president Luca di Montezemolo to discuss the company’s future management structure.

As well as naming Todt as CEO, a Ferrari statement said that Amedeo Felisa has joined the board as general manager in place of Renato Pagliaro, who has resigned.

An announcement about the future structure of Ferrari’s Formula 1 team is imminent.

It is expected to confirm that Ross Brawn will stand down as technical director and take a sabbatical, possible prior to a return as team principal in 2008.
