So I went to plug in my toe hook to toe car to fast cars for the tranny replacement. No plug in place and looked like a hard rubber. So got out the drill and drilled through the rubber and hit a metal plate. The distance throu it was about three inches so it seems there is a plate blocking it. Not sure if I will tackle this this trip but just curious how to get at all this. I am sure the bumper has to come off but does anything else?

The rubber plug plugs the toe hook threads.

Completely take the rubber boot out.

The three inches is possibly the thread insert.

I am pretty sure you have the toe hook.

Kai the normal plug was not there it looks like someone put a flat piece of hard grey rubber in behind. Drilled through it and hit a metal plate. Did not want to drill through the metal. No threads are present.

    Take wheels off.
Remove wheel liners at the front
    Remove the brake air hoses.
    Remove bumper side brackets.
Disconnect side marker lights and remove side markers
    Remove bottom liners of bumpers
Disconnect fog lights and remove them.
Remove trunk liners at the top of fenders L/R
You should be able to stick a long extension in there to undo the nuts holding the bumper in place.

Bumper should slide off. Easier if you have a helper.

    Update.
As stated the spacer was reversed and it was blocking the toe hook threads. Needed a tap to run in and out then put anti sieze on the threads and ordered and installed plug from ricami, all fixed thanks guys.
