My front wheel cinturatos are worn unevenly? I have the 16" commodoras. Does anyone know factory settings for both toe in a camber also for rear wheels? Thanks.

Do you have an owners manual?

Many thanks! The toe in was off on the left wheel - a bit uncertain about the load? Adjusted it without full tank, 2 persons (75kg) and 20 kg of luggage?

Set it how you use it so it's sitting in the most representative way is the rule I try to follow. Not saying its right, it just what I do.

Big difference - the toe in on the left wheel was off. Now I need to go bak to the shop to align the steering wheel! I am not happy with the 16`speedlines with the Cinturatos from Longstone. It look good but I think it will drive better with the 14`- with Michelin or Fuldas.

Which Cinturatos do you have? The P7 summer tire? Its a fine tire but won't give as comfy a ride as something which a way taller side wall, but will make the steering feel more responsive. Everything is give and take and I guess "right" depends on how you drive.

Yes the P7 - I feel that they "tracking" directly translated from Norwegian;). I haven't tested a 308 with 205 14` but I think my old alfa Romeo bertone coupe handled better on trackdays with taller tires - the Cinturato CN 36. I also liked the precision and the response.

Toe off at one front wheel kind of not making sense. You would compensate for that by steering straight while driving and having an off center steering wheel.
Both wheel are now affected. Of course, on the alignment stand with steering wheel held straight you can find that.

How much was toe-in per wheel?

Or did you mean camber off?

In the front yeah it mostly just makes the ties wear faster than they should but weird toe the rear makes the car handle handle pretty weird. Every bump or uneven pavement and one or the other rear wheel steers the rear end where ever that tire is pointed...just bought a used car a couple months ago and it was a twitchy mess on the drive home, off to the alignment shop and it was a whole new car so the gamble buying it cheap paid off.

I would have to agree that a 1977 car was designed for the smaller 14" rims and tires.

I too have a stack of FULDA 14" tires as Goodyear owns FULDA.
I never finished a set of rims to use them.

    Goodyear is #1 in Racing...:D

    Not on 14" tires they're not ;)

You chose the original wheels and tires because you want it to drive like it did when it was new. You chose something more modern when you want it to drive good by modern standards

Yes I actually use 16" Etoiles for daily use, and order tires "for a Honda S2000??"

That's what the Discount Tire computer guesses it fits!
    :D :D
