Sad ! I was listening to him an hour ago on sirius ...

 

Complications from Alzheimer's. Must have been fairly quick, as the show was in production until two years ago.

Brilliantly funny guy who I loved to listen to. Take a minute and read the article, fascinating how the brothers got into radio, and how they felt about each other.

I mainly listen to NPR stations for classical music, but "Car Talk" was one of the few other programs that I listened to regularly. I'm glad that NPR continues to rerun the shows, because they are still just as funny the second time around.

I hadn't realized that Tom was 12 years older than his brother. He will be missed. R.I.P.
