What’s really incredible is that he played the son of a guy who’s really about the same age as him on Blue Bloods.

    Dunno what CBS is thinking.
They canceled "Blue Bloods", but they brought back "NCIS Sydney"?

I'm half way through his memoir 'You never know' right now. Interesting read, makes me want to watch the pilot again.

if you watch the pilot, pay close attention to what he does with the T top.

He actually comments on that very scene. There were 2 workers that grabed the roof when he shoved it back. Also, he had never sat in the car until the first day of shooting only to realize 6'4" doesn't work well with the roof on.

This actor makes a lot for Ferrari, I just regret that Ferrari brand do nothing with him.
    A good advertise for exemple.
    There is still time.

"Honestly, I never really watched that show."

Heck, the show is the reason I wanted the car - to be as cool as Thomas Magnum!!!

    Sadly, it didn't work. :(

Likewise. The whole combination of the show, the car, Selleck, was just great! Still is.

Excerpt from his biography, "You Never Know",
(and before anyone asks, I didn't see anything about modifications to the seats!)

Interesting....then Mr. Selleck must be some kind of contortionist, because at :12 in the video clip posted by Dockboy, I don't see how he could possibly be slouching given the relationship of his torso to his neck/head. If anything, it looks like his head is leaning forward very slightly. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

The seat modification was told by somebody that worked on the set and reported in a very old Magnum chat here on the forum. The book is an interesting story of his life and reads very quick.

I heard they removed the seat adjuster rails to put the seat flat on the floor.

I'm also 6'4", and I can't fit in a 308 with the top on, either.
That's one reason I got a 328, which has an extra half inch of headroom. ;)

Pause it at 10sec, and you'll see that the top of the seatback is about 6" below the top of the door. The top of the headrest is about even with it.
